James Hutchins

James Hutchins

James Hutchins begins his first year as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach in 2023. He will work with Baseball, Track and Field, and Volleyball during the 2023-2024 seasons, while also running the Olympic Sports Performance Internship Program here at KSU. Hutchins comes from Illinois State University where he served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach for Baseball, Gymnastics, Men's Tennis, and assisted with Soccer from 2021-2023. While at Illinois State University Hutchins received his second master’s degree in Biomechanics.

Prior to Illinois State University Hutchins worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Chippenham Town Academy FC from 2020 to the spring of 2021. The Chippenham, England, native graduated from Coventry University with a bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science. He completed his master's degree in Strength and Conditioning at Coventry, while serving as a Graduate Assistant with the Field Hockey and Women's Volleyball programs. Hutchins has both his NSCA-CSCS and USAW-L1 certifications, as well as being CPR/AED certified.

 
James and his wife Chloe reside in Kennesaw.
